Saturday 23 October

The Corner Lot, located at 1030 CR 2120 in Rusk, will host a fall festival from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 23. The event will include a costume contest, with judging at 5:30 p.m., a dunk booth, games for all ages, prizes, free food and drinks. This month’s film, Hocus Pocus, will begin at 7:30 pm Organizers are asking attendees not to come in spooky costumes. For more information on The Corner Lot, visit their Facebook page. J Bar C Cowboy Church, located at 9530 FM 855 in Bullard, invites the public to its Fall Festival from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 23. The event includes food, fun and games. Saturday October 23 – Saturday October 30

Cherokee County Master Gardeners will be running their annual Scarecrow Trail from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Saturday, October 23 through Saturday, October 30, except Sunday when the trail is closed. The Scarecrow Trail is located at the Ruth B Nichols Arboretum, 1015 SE Loop 456 in Jacksonville. No creepy or bloody scarecrows or weapons of any kind will be allowed to display, according to official rules. Admission is $ 1 or one good can per person. Sunday October 24

Branded by Christ Cowboy Church, 5592 Hwy 110 in Rusk, hosts Exceptional Fall Roundup 2021 on Sunday, October 24. The church service begins at 10 a.m. with activities to follow. Lunch will be provided. The event will include horseback riding, activities with farm animals and fall-inspired games. Monday, October 25

The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce is hosting the citywide trunk or treat event on Monday Saturday. 25. From 5 pm and until the candy runs out, children and their families are invited to Commerce and Main. The festivities are aimed at toddlers up to 12 years old. Boogie Butt Productions will provide entertainment. Entrance is located at 205 E. Commerce Street, across from Austin Bank. Admission is $ 1.00 per child and proceeds will go to HOPE and the Crisis Center.

Wednesday October 27

Beall Chapel Baptist Church, 1861 S. Jackson St. in Jacksonville, hosts a Fall Festival from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27. The event will include games, hot dogs, sweets and drinks. Costumes are welcome. Friday October 29

Country Place Senior Living, 2120 E. Rusk St., invites Jacksonville children to visit from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 29 for a trick-or-treat event with the residents, who are eager to attend. see costumed children.

The Rusk Chamber of Commerce hosts Scare on the Square, the annual citywide event. Children and families are invited to attend from 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 29. Participants are asked to enter via Austin Bank, going up Main Street towards 5th Street. The Rusk Public Library will present Halloween shows in the meeting room and invite the public to bring their candy and enjoy a show.

Saturday October 30

Beacon of Light Church of Christ is having a Fall Festival from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 30. The church is located at 1155 Corinth Rd in Jacksonville. The public is invited to attend.

New Life United Pentecostal Church, 825 Bellaire St. in Jacksonville, is having a fall festival from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 30. The event will include games, chili cuisine, dessert contest, s’mores, bouncy house, face painting and music.

The Elite Stars of Brittany competitive teams will be hosting a fall festival from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at KO Indoor Soccer Complex, 1028 CR 4209 in Jacksonville on Saturday, October 30. The event will include face painting, a walk on cakes, candy, games and a spooky maze. Bracelets cost $ 3 per person.

Sunday October 31

The Central Baptist Church, 1909 E. Rusk St. in Jacksonville, has a harvest festival from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 31. The event includes games, candy, popcorn, a petting zoo, face painting, a house bounce, slide and hay rides. Costumes are welcome, although organizers ask attendees to avoid ghoulish or spooky costumes, reminding audiences that this is a family-friendly event. Donation of a good can or dry food is encouraged. Items collected during the food drive will go to HOPE-Jacksonville. If you have any questions, contact the church office at 903-586-2215.

Peoples Church, 14089 US-79 E in Jacksonville, is having a trunk or treat event from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 31. Local children are invited to come and enjoy themed trunks, lots of candy and music. Chick-fil-A will be present with a special treat, limit of one per person while supplies last. Coptoberfest will take place in front of the Bullard Police Department from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday October 31. The police will distribute treats and gifts.

Saturday 13 November

The Cherokee Craft & Trade Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 13 at the Ruby Ballroom. A variety of vendors, from direct sales to handcrafted items, will offer merchandise displays to help meet your seasonal needs.

The Jacksonville Garden Club will host a celebration in honor of veterans at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 13. The event will take place at the Patriotic Pathway Memorial in Buchner Park and will feature the reading of the names of those who installed a brick along the sidewalk and the cannon salute. The public is invited to attend.

Monday November 15th

The annual Holiday in the Country event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 15 in downtown Troup. Local businesses remain open for extended hours, allowing customers to shop on the way home while enjoying refreshments and getting into the Christmas spirit with holiday music.
