What to know about the Vancouver Wine Festival in 2022

🍷 So much wine, so little time… (Just kidding, it’s a week-long event!) 🍷

The 43rd annual Vancouver International Wine Festival is set to take place in May, and this year’s exciting in-person lineup includes an impressive 101 wineries from 41 countries around the world participating in 27 events over the course of a very full week.

British Columbia wineries are the most prominent – of course! – but there will be 18 producers from Italy, 14 from the United States, as well as several from popular wine regions in Spain, Australia and Argentina. And for the first time ever, the nation of Georgia will have a winery heading to Vancouver for the festival.

The VIWF is primarily based at the Vancouver Convention Center, but venues across the city, including restaurants, will host a host of ticketed events as part of the celebration. These events include tastings, seminars, dinners and the epic Bacchanalia Gala Dinner + Auction (benefiting Bard on the Beach) will take place on Tuesday, May 17 at the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel.

The heart of the festival is the tasting room, where the 101 wineries will gather for four international festival tastings (and two commercial tastings).

Tickets for International Festival Tastings (May 19-21) and the Super Pass are now on sale, while tickets for public events (including seminars, vineyard dinners, get-togethers and luncheons) will go on sale. on sale Wednesday April 6 at 9:30 a.m. Find all the ticketing information on the VIWF website.
