You can harvest crops and plants in Stardew Valley for food, crafts, gifts, festivals, quests, and many other purposes. There is usually a specific season in which each crop can be grown. You can plant crops in their designated seasons, and they will weaken and die as the seasons change after the 28th day of the season. We’ve included multi-season crops in each season they’re grown, as well as specialty crops that don’t really have a designated season but bloom year-round.
Some crops may regrow faster than they did when you first planted them. You can tell a plant is growing back when it looks like a seed that was planted after harvest. When watered immediately after harvest, these crops regrow on their own. Crops have a limited number of regrowth, so you need to plant a new seed when they are finished. When a regrowing crop is finished, it looks like an empty patch of land.
Below are the basic metrics for each crop, such as how much you can sell it for, where you can find it, how long it takes to grow it, and what you can do with it. It’s important to remember that we’re only indicating who will love each culture as a gift, not whether they’ll only love them because loving a culture is rare. How well each crop is irrigated will determine how fast it grows and how much you can sell it for.
The best harvests for each season in Stardew Valley
Best Spring Crops in Stardew Valley
You’ll miss many of the plants featured below for the first time since every game begins in the spring. Keep an eye out for the end of each season and save your seeds if the plant dries out before it can fully sprout because the seeds never expire.
One festival you should watch out for is the Egg Festival on the 13th of Spring, where Peter sells strawberry seeds for 100 gold each. If you don’t save the seeds from the previous year and only plant them after buying them from Pierre, you can plant and harvest strawberry seeds twice before the start of summer. Because you only have a short time to plant after the festival, we recommend saving the seeds for next year.

Best summer harvests in Stardew Valley
If you’ve just started playing, summer should be the time when you’ve mastered the game and have already harvested the seeds you can grow here from foraging. If you need seeds, visit Pierre’s Shop or JojaMart.
There is one festival you should watch out for, the 11th Summer Luau, where you must have an ingredient ready. Since you haven’t planted anything of high quality yet, you won’t get a good response from the Governor the first time around. The Starfruit is also available from Pierre here for 1,000 gold, but you should only buy it if you really need it.

Best winter crops in Stardew Valley
This season, you can only grow winter seeds, which grow bushes that you can feed from. At the end of the season, these bushes will wither and die. Winter should be used for mining or fishing. Fishing is recommended since the Ice Festival and the Night Market revolve around fishing, and it helps to have a high level. The only thing you can get from Winter Festivals for your crops is the rare Ice Festival Scarecrow.
