This week: Niagara County Peach Festival, Music Is Art, Farewell to the Mickey Rats | Entertainment

“Frozen,” takes place September 10-24 at Shea’s Buffalo Theater (650 Main Street). Times and prices vary, but weekday shows are scheduled for 7:30 pm Visit

The Broadway musical based on the 2013 Disney film marks the return of live theater to Shea, a remarkable achievement after the curtain closed for 18 months. Unlike Disney on Ice’s “Frozen” performances, which stopped here in 2018, Anna, Elsa, and Olaf won’t be zooming in on skates this time around. Nonetheless, “Let It Go” will certainly get stuck in your head and be belted with vigor (and at distances only children can reach) at bedtime all over western New York.

German celebrations will be plentiful at the Hofbrauhaus over the next six weeks, but the celebrations begin with a three-day inauguration slate.
