Trying to think of weekend plans? If you enjoy motorbike rides, thrilling daredevil shows, great food and family fun, the 16th Barber Vintage Festival, which takes place October 8-10, is for you. Read on for all the details on why this must-see event is happening near Birmingham.
About the event
This is a three day event packed with action and fun activities. People come from all over for this festival, and with an entire weekend of events and races scheduled all day long, I can understand why it is so popular.
The festival features stunt shows, vintage motorcycle races, an exchange meeting with over 650 vendors, track action and Moore, hosted by the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association.
If you like crazy stunts, entertainment and unique products, you had better go to the Fan Zone.
Here you can find the Wall of Death, a live thrill-seeker show with a silo-shaped wooden cylinder 9 meters in diameter. Inside, the bike’s daredevils run along the vertical wall performing a track, whimsical and acrobatic ride. The Urias Family Daredevils will also be present and perform in their legendary Globe of Death.
Want to add some tunes to the weekend? The Fan Zone will also feature live music on Fridays and Saturdays courtesy of Tim Dugger and Sixwire.

Moonlight dinner, anyone?
The Barber Vintage Festival is very excited to announce the return of its Motorcycles by Moonlight dinner this year.
This is an exclusive evening of delicious food, fun and a special guest. The evening begins with a cocktail party and silent auction to benefit the museum, followed by a sit-down dinner and a short presentation with a question-and-answer session with the Grand Marshal, Mary McGee.
Take a ticket and you can dine with the legend herself. AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member Mary McGee is one of the most pioneering motorcyclists in history and paved the way for women in the sport.
