RELIGION BRIEFS – Fall festival to include raffle – Port Arthur News

Charlotte’s Cupboard will host a drive-through pantry from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Christian Faith Baptist Missionary Church, 1919 Jefferson Drive.

Solid Rock Baptist Church, 1337 East 5th St., will be offering a Happy Hour Bible Study during the 9:30 am Sunday service. The teacher and exhibitor will be Vanilla Marie Chillow. For more information, call 409-983-7654.

Solid Rock Baptist Church, 1337 East 5th St., will continue its Prospering during a Pandemic series of teachings during the Sunday service at 11 a.m. Director of Evangelism and Counseling Reverend Harry Abrams Jr. teaches the series. The church practices social distancing and mask-wearing recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control.

Solid Rock Baptist Church, 1337 East 5th St., will host the first book signing of Transformed Thinking, written by Director of Evangelism and Counseling Reverend Harry Abrams Jr. at 4 p.m. Sunday.

God 1st Baptist Missionary Church, 201 E. 14e St., will celebrate the 10e church birthday at the 9am service on October 24th. The theme is “Celebrate a decade of God building this church”. The scripture is Matthew 16:18. The speaker will be Reverend Gerald J. Jordan, pastor of ministries at Jordan River Church in Memphis, Tennessee.

Breath of Life Ministries, 3700 Procter St., will host a free fall festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 31 in the church parking lot. There will be games, food, prayers, free t-shirt giveaways and a $ 100 raffle.

The Baptist Missionary Church of the Christian Faith will celebrate Pastors Albert and Charlotte Moses’ 18 years of appreciation in November. The theme of this occasion is “Trust in His Holy Word” from Hebrews 1: 2. In honor of the celebration of the pastors, the following event is scheduled.

  • The 18th Pastor and First Lady Appreciation Banquet will be held at 7 p.m. on November 12 at the Pompano Club, 330 Twin City Highway in Port Neches. Tickets cost $ 50.
  • Pastor and First Lady 18e The anniversary celebration service will be held at 10 a.m. on November 14 at the church, 1919 Jefferson Drive. The special speaker will be Reverend Albert Moses III. The theme is “Commanded by God” The Man, The Message, The Vision “from I Timothy 1:12.
