Pop-up pub opens in Leicester for the return of the popular Western Park Beer Festival

A new pub is opening in Leicester – but you’ll have to be quick if you want to visit.

The Western Park Beer Festival (WPBF) will host a Pop Up Pub for just one day on Saturday, November 13, after missing a year in 2020.

The event will feature 16 beers on tap and on tap, as well as ciders, wine, soft drinks and snacks and will take place in two three-hour sessions at St Anne’s Church Hall at Letchworth Road.

The Beer Festival has raised £ 42,500 for local causes since 2015.

For the first time this year, the event will be cashless and will host a maximum of 150 people per session, with tickets available from Eventbrite.

Selina Conroy, WPBF President, said: “Due to Covid this will be a scaled-down adult-only Pop Up Pub, but we can’t wait to see some friends and neighbors we haven’t seen since. September 2019 annual festival.

“We hope it won’t be too long before we can put on a bigger, family-friendly event, but until then the Pop Up Pub will go some way to close that gap.”
