Pie N Beer Day returns with 9,000 slices of pie – Gastronomic SLC

According to the folks at the Downtown Alliance, that’s the proverbial number of pies and slices set to fly off the shelves at this year’s Pie N Beer Day event. The popular Summertime bash which took a two-year hiatus, is back for 2022, and back in style, I might add.

If you’re new to the event, Pie N Beer Day will be held on July 24, marking the state’s traditional holiday – Pioneer Day. The food and drink festival toasts the day with a huge selection of pies and beers (say it real quick and it makes sense).

This year’s event will move to The Gateway on the west side of downtown, with plenty of room for all that pie and of course, beer. Local brewers and restaurants then team up and serve pie and beer all day.

Brad Wheeler, MC for the day’s Live Music Talks, writes, “Sometimes new Utah residents can feel left out of July 24th celebrations. Our celebration is inclusive and welcoming to all. I invite everyone to this wholesome, family-friendly event with the world’s largest pie and beer assembly! »
