Music, food and art at the Norton Commons Art Festival returns this weekend


VILLAGE TOWN CENTER WHERE THE NORTON COMMONS ART FESTIVAL IS HELD AND WE ARE GIVING YOU A LITTLE TRIP TO SICMU YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE HERE ON SUNDAY. THIS IS BOUONRB REVIVAL KENTUCKY’S NUMBER ONE BLUE ROCK AND BLUEGRASS GROUP. THEY PLAY A LITTLE BILLIE JEAN FOR US. GOOD JUST A LITTLE TASTE. THE AIRLINE YOU HAVE A LOT TO DO FOR THE ART FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND. WHAT WE WANT TO DO IS OUR SEVENTH ANNUAL NORTON COMMONS ART FESTIVAL. IT’S BIGGER THAN IT HAS EVER BEEN. THE VENUE HAS BEEN EXPANDED AND WE HAVE GREAT FOOD TRUCKS LOTS OF GREAT LIVE MUSIC LIKE BOURBON REVIVAL. WE HAVE FIVE OTHER GREAT BANDS PLAYING AND IT WILL TRULY BE A PHENOMENAL WEENDKE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. DO YOU EXPECT THIS WEEKEND TO BE BIGGER THAN PREVIOUS ART FESTIVALS? ABSOLUTELY. WE CONTINUE TO GROW ERYVE SINGLE YREA AND THE PROMOTION CONTINUES TO GROW. IT SEEMS LIKE WE HAVE A LOT OF PUBLIC INTEREST AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE ART. YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE FOOD AND WE ARE HERE IN DOWNTOWN NORTH VILLAGE WHICH IS REALLY OUTDOOR IT IS BRAND NEW. YOU CAN COME HERE AND ESE A BUILT CITY AS WE TALK. THERE ARE THINGS RISING ALL AROUND THE UNDS, INCLUDING SOME NEW COMPANIES LIKE REGIONS ONLY AT BOURBON MEMBERSHIP CLUB. YOU MUST CHECK THIS. IT’S INCREDIBLE. THERE ARE SOME OTHER NEW COMPANIES HERE THAT IT’S REALLY ALL TOGETHER. OK, THIS IS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. IT’S A FREE ENTRY SO THAT YOU CAN WALK WITH YOUR FAMILY AND ENJOY SOM OEF THIS MUSIC. Music, food and art at the Norton Commons Art Festival returns this weekend

Music, food and art are on the agenda at the 7th Annual Norton Commons Art Festival. It takes place Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm in downtown Norton Commons North Village. Families can explore the area’s vibrant arts and crafts, music and food scenes at no admission cost. Inspired local and non-local painters, jewelers, sculptors, potters, photographers, carpenters, milliners and textile workers will be on hand throughout the weekend to display their works. According to organizers, the event is one of the fastest growing art festivals. in the country. “We held a festival last year when many others were on hiatus,” said Marilyn Osborne Patterson, director of marketing and legal counsel for Norton Commons. “The artists liked it, and I think that’s why we’re seeing record numbers of vendors this year. This festival is a serious regional draw.” There will also be a series of live performances by local musicians. Whiskey Bent Valley Boys (Bluegrass – 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.), Skylar & Sophia Cain (Country), We The Least (Singer/Songwriters) – 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.)Sun. May 21- Bourbon Revival (Bluegrass – 11am-1pm), Hayley Payne (Country/Pop – 1pm-3pm), griffytown (Jazz – 3pm-5pm) Local food vendors include Sugar Tree Sweet Shop, Good Belly Sandwich Shop, Popcorn from Froggy, Alchemy, Copper Kitchen, Longshot Lobsta and Cotton Candy & Sugar Nuts. John the Balloon Guy & Co. will also be on hand. Drinks will be available from Commonwealth Tap and West 6th Brewing Co. will have two booths this year. Local food vendors include sugar tree candy, Good Belly Sandwich Shop, Froggy’s popcorn, Alchemy, copper kitchen, Longshot Lobster and cotton candy and sugar nuts. John the Balloon Guy & Co. will also be there.

Drinks will be available from Commonwealth Faucet and West 6th Brewing Co. will have two stands this year.
