Dak Lak (VNA) – More than 1,000 artists from 22 professional artistic troupes across the country will participate in the National Festival of Dance and Music 2022 is expected to take place in the central highlands province of Dak Lak from June 17 to 30.
The festival is organized by the Department of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Musicians, Association of Dance Artists of Vietnam and other organizations.
According to the organizers, the festival creates a platform for artists working in the fields of song, dance and music to exchange, gain experience and improve their professional skills. It is also planned to help cultural management agencies and heads of artistic units to discover young talents, thus carrying out appropriate training and development plans.
This festival is launched in accordance with the government policy of safety adaptation and restoration of socio-economic development in the post-pandemic period while satisfying the people’s entertainment demand in the cultural sector.
Participating troupes and artists are encouraged to set up programs with elements of creativity, renewal and diversification of performance forms that feature regional imprints and personal styles.
Previously awarded programs and shows in festivals and competitions organized by the Ministry of Culture and specialized associations are not allowed to participate in the festival.
The best programs and performances will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals by the organizing committee. The Organizing Board will provide more awards for creative components such as Best Director, Best Conductor, Best Musician, Best Choreographer, Best Lead Singer, Best Lead Dancer and others.
Last year, the National Dance and Music Festival was successfully held in Hai Phong city from November 18 to 28, attracting more than 1,000 performers from 19 art troupes nationwide.
