When the cherry blossoms begin to turn pink in our local gardens, and the apricot and plum trees, and other fruitful branches in our regions also boast of buds aplenty, boysenberry fans begin to hope.
Not, of course, for a tree to suddenly grow the juicy purple favorite, which is a vintner. But the blooming of our regional fruit trees means spring is almost here, and when spring is near, so is Knott’s Berry Farm’s most famous food festival.
It’s the one built around the boysenberry, the gem associated with the theme park for nearly a century.
