GREEN BAY – Communities across the greater Green Bay area will mark Independence Day with fireworks and other celebrations.
Many are returning after being canceled last year amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Here’s where you can enjoy the colors and booms:
Green Bay: Festival Foods Fire on the Fox begins at 5 p.m. on July 4 in downtown Green Bay with live music, food and drink. Start of the fireworks at 9.45 p.m.
The port of Baileys: The Baileys Harbor Community Association’s July 4th celebration features live music, food and drink, sidewalk chalk art and more on July 4th. The fireworks start at dusk. 920-839-2366 or baileysharbor.doorcounty.com
Egg Port: Egg Harbor Business Association will be hosting an Independence Day celebration on July 3 from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Harbor View Park, 7809 State 42. Live music, food and drink with fireworks at dusk. The beach closes at 1:00 p.m. for the installation of fireworks. A parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. on July 4 along State 42 from Church Street in T.
Gils Rock: Gills Rock celebrates July 4th, 5pm, July 4th at 12747 State 42. Food and drink, boat parade and fry fundraiser for the Deaths Door Museum, complete with twilight fireworks. portecountynorth.net
Sturgeon Bay: Sturgeon Bay celebrates July 4 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 4 at Sunset Park, 737 N. Third Ave. Food, drinks, live music, fireworks at dusk. 920-743-6246 or sturgeonbay.net
Washington Island: The Washington Island Fire Department will launch twilight fireworks on July 4 at the Washington Island Ball Park on Main Road. Donations will be accepted.
Algoma: Dave’s 11th Annual Fireworks Show, at dusk on July 4 at Water’s Edge Bed and Breakfast, N7136 State 42.
Kewaunee: Shore fireworks from 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. July 3 at Lakehaven Hall, 96 Ellis St., Kewaunee. Food, live music and activities for the kids with fireworks at dusk.
Gillet: The Gillett Civic Club will be hosting its July 4th celebration July 3-4 at Zippel Park, 150 N. Mckenzie St. Hours of operation are 4 p.m. to midnight on July 3 and 9 a.m. to midnight on July 4. Tractor, horse, live music and a parade with fireworks launched at dusk.
Mountain: Mountain Fire Department Auxiliary Fireworks Celebration, 9 a.m. to midnight, July 2 at the Bill Lazansky Community Center, 13412 State 32/64. Fireworks at dusk.
Oconto: Waterfest, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. July 3 at Breakwater Park, 1301 Harbor Road, Oconto. Live music, food, vendor stands, children’s activities, with fireworks at 10 p.m.
Townsend: The annual July 4 celebration will take place on July 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Front Street Fire Hall, and will feature artisans, food, drink, raffles and music. The parade starts at noon. The fireworks start at dusk at Townsend Ball Park.
Bonduel: 109th annual July 4th festivities begin at 11 a.m. on July 4th with a parade. There will be ball games, live music and food at the Village Park. Start of the fireworks at 9.45 p.m.
Shawano: Fireworks display at dusk on July 3 at Shawano Airport.
Tigerton: The July 4 block party starts at 11 a.m. on July 4 with musical games and food. The fireworks will begin at nightfall near the school.
Clintonville: twilight, July 2 at Don Jirschele field in Olen Park.
