Indulge in the sights and sounds of the Urban Arts Festival this weekend in downtown SLC


SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4) – Spend this holiday weekend filled with sights and sounds of live music, gorgeous art, unique shopping and more at the annual Urban Arts Festival.

The free festival takes place this weekend from September 3-5 at The Gateway shopping district.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, this event is the perfect activity to discover all of the city’s talented locals.

Sponsored by the Utah Arts Alliance, the festival features free concerts featuring music in a variety of genres, while guests can also witness daring acts of aerialists, waders, magicians, and more.

Stroll through the outdoor street market and take home unique pieces from over 80 vendors to adorn your home. Discover a unique exhibit featuring original artwork painted on skateboards at the 11th Annual Skateboard Challenge.

Watch live murals from over 30 local muralists and graffiti artists and interact with the artwork through an augmented reality app.

Catch a game of hoops at the Hard-N-Paint Street Basketball exhibit where you can witness a three-point shootout, slam dunk contest, and classic pickup game.

Those who love hot rods should visit the Lowrider Custom Car Culture Exhibit, where you can get up close and personal with lowriders, hoppers, and custom bikes. Prizes will be awarded for best in show, best engine, best display and more.
