Welcome after a two-year break! The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is looking for your help make Victoria’s favorite art event bigger and better than ever!

We’re talking about the long-awaited TD Art Gallery Paintingof course, which will return for its 33rd year next month.

One of Victoria’s best-loved festivals, it all happens on Saturday July 16, attracting over 30,000 visitors!

For one day only, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., artists will line up along Moss Street, from Fort Street to Dallas Road, to demonstrate their art and share their work with the community.

Celebrate up to 150 local artists and enjoy arts-focused community groups transforming Moss Street into a colorful art gallery.

Under the sun, you can explore your love of art with friends and neighbors, connect with local artists as they demonstrate their art, and stop at Imagination Stations for activities inspired by the art.

You’ll even have the chance to sample local food and drink at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria at 1040 Moss Street.

There’s also local music and shows PLUS a family-friendly beer garden, open until 6 p.m.

This year, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is looking for 200 volunteers to help organize the festival. There are a variety of roles and shifts available throughout the day to accommodate everyone.

This is your chance to help support AGGV, Vancouver Island art and artists, and celebrate art with the community by volunteering for the festival!

You can apply to volunteer for the Paint-In event on lineand must be willing to commit to 4 hours on festival day and a one hour training/orientation session in early July.

Volunteer roles include team leader, event assistant, donation and fundraising assistant, family beer garden assistant, set-up assistant and tear-down assistant.

Snacks will be provided for your hard work and you will also receive a free t-shirt!
