Foodstock 2022: Concert, beer and food festival this summer


And all for a great cause.

A new summer event will bring together local bands, breweries and food trucks under the sun for an afternoon of fun, all for a good cause.

The first annual Foodstock will take place June 26 at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby.

The new ticketed event for ages 19+ is a fundraiser for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) and attendees are asked to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs to make the most of the day . Your admission entitles you to one drink ticket, with others available for purchase on site; 50 percent of the proceeds from all beverage sales will be donated to GVFB. Meanwhile, 10% of all food sales will be donated to GVFB.

As for live music, Foodstock will feature sets from Bend Sinister, Sleepy Gonzales, Generous Thieves, The Noodle Boys, Uncle Strut, Green Alderson, Madelyn Read and Good Goin’.
