Looking for something new to do on the weekend? The Cincinnati Museum Center opens for special evening hours on select dates beginning February 4.

Visit the museum at night on select Fridays through April, with last entry for the The science behind Pixar exhibition and the OMNIMAX at 8 p.m. (the permanent galleries will always close at 5 p.m.). The dates are February 4 and 18; March 4 and 18; and April 1, 8, 15 and 22.

“Whether you’re looking for a fresh take on the evening, gathering for happy hour, or kicking off your weekend, a night at the museum is your ticket to a memorable experience,” MCC said in a statement.

The museum says food and drink, including wine and beer, will be available.

The science behind Pixar, on view until April 24 is an interactive experience that showcases the uses of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), imagination and curiosity, the museum said in a statement. Guests can come face to face with Pixar characters such as Buzz Lightyear, Dory, Mike and Sulley, Edna Mode and WALL•E.

The current OMNIMAX movie is ancient caves. Follow paleoclimatologist Dr Gina Moseley and her team as they descend into remote caves around the world, from France to Iceland and from the Bahamas to California’s Death Valley, to collect stalagmite samples to uncover clues about the planet’s weather patterns.
