A MUSIC, food and drink festival this weekend will kick off a series of events that will take place over the next six months in Bromsgrove.
Using money from the Government Welcome Fund and under the banner of ‘Your People, Your Places, Your Bromsgrove’, the free festival, at BirdBox, will feature a range of local vendors and artists to showcase the talent. at the gates of the neighborhood.
Some of Bromsgrove’s independent food outlets with fantastic food and delicious drinks include Ascotts, Bayleys, Betty’s Waffles, No.3a and Pizza Heaven.
A number of projects will take place over the next six months as the council and NWEDR work in district centers to spend money allocated by the Welcome Back Fund, which is part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). . The money is specifically intended to support safe return to main streets and better rebuilding after the pandemic.
Bromsgrove District Council Chief Councilor Karen May said: “Like councils across the country, we have benefited from these funds and it is important that we invest them for the benefit of our residents.
“We will visit our centers to find out where to best invest the money, whether in street furniture, a cleaning project or an event.
“I am delighted that the inaugural event is taking place at BirdBox and I hope as many people as possible will show up as we continue to work for a better Bromsgrove for everyone.”
The festival starts at 12 p.m. and continues until 6 p.m. on Saturday 23 October.
