The festival will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Bicester and “educate people about the struggles, challenges and dangers” facing the community.

A Bicester Pride spokesperson said: “Join us at Bicester Pride for a fun, family-friendly weekend, complete with entertainment, local stalls and local food and drink.

“This event is inclusive of all genders and sexual orientations, as well as allies.

“It’s a celebration of LGBTQIA+ identities and a chance to come together, be proud of who we are, and grow Bicester’s amazing queer community.”

Bicester Pride will launch a tribute act to George Michael on Friday August 12.

On Saturday, an Elton John tribute act will take the stage followed by a drag performance.

Singer-songwriter Jennah will perform at Bicester Pride on Sunday night and the festival will end with karaoke.

Throughout the weekend, community stalls and food and drink will be available.

Tickets are £5 per person per day and can be purchased at Eventbrite:

The Friday evening show is for over 18s only, while on Saturday and Sunday under 15s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
