Hymns and Suggested Prayers:

A prayer for the gifts of agriculture (ELW p. 78)
God, our creator, you ordered the sowing and the harvest, the sun and the rain. Give all who work the land just compensation for the work of their hands. Grant that the people of this nation and of all nations give thanks to you for food, drink and all that sustains life; can carefully use the land and water from which these good things come; and can honor the workers who produce them; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for Health Care Providers (ELW p. 85)
Merciful God, your healing power is all around us. Strengthen those who labor among the sick; give them courage and confidence in everything they do. Encourage them when their efforts seem futile or when death wins. Increase their confidence in your very power to overcome death, pain and crying. May they be grateful for every sign of health you give, and humbled by the mystery of your healing grace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A prayer for the mission of the church (ELW p. 75)
Gather your church, O God, into one great company of disciples, following our master Jesus Christ together in all walks of life, serving together in Christ’s mission in the world, and witnessing together your love wherever you will send; because of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
