A massive burger and beer festival takes over The Trop this Saturday

An extravaganza of shopping, dining, music and more is coming to Le Trop this Saturday, July 2. Hosted by Saturday Morning Shoppe, the Burger, Beer and Crab Festival fills the parking lot at Tropicana Field from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. for an afternoon of fun and family celebrations.

Some of the best grills, crab pots and restaurants in the bay will be on hand to serve up hot cheesy treats, alongside tons of food trucks and St. Pete’s favorite bartenders serving up great local beers. In addition to food and drink, there will be a sprawling market full of local artists, makers, shops and more. The festival takes place in lot 4 of the Tropicana Field parking lot and participation is free. Parking in free spaces in the car park is also free, subject to availability.

The food festival and market will also feature live music, saxophone shows, line dancing, a teen market, bouncing houses and even a kids’ area. There will also be interactive arts and crafts stations. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, relax and enjoy the free entertainment while they eat, drink and sail.

One of the highlights of the event will be a free concert by renowned saxophonist Marlon Boone, starting at 1 p.m. In total, the festival will feature nearly 100 local restaurants, food trucks, breweries, artists, shops and more.

Saturday Morning Shoppe provides opportunities for emerging small businesses

Renee Edwards is the mastermind behind the Saturday Morning Shoppe operation. The focus of the event has always been to create economic development opportunities for emerging businesses through these fast-growing monthly markets. Edwards also founded the Saturday Morning Shoppe Academy to provide business coaching, business etiquette, resources, marketing, and licensing that would enable hobby sellers to grow their business and revenue.

Through its knowledge and platform, Edwards is able to help nearly 150 businesses each month by connecting amazing makers and owners to the community they serve. Other upcoming Saturday morning Shoppe events include Gospel on the Green in Clearwater on July 23 and a Back To School festival on August 6 at The Trop.
