You’ll be captivated by these beauties and all the tricks they can do.

This action packed 30 minute performance of 6-9 bird stars always highlights preservation of these delicate creatures. Larry is a talented entertainer and conservationist. You won’t want to miss this show. Appearing on Saturday and Sunday – check the schedule for times.

Dr. Laura Mann’s "Opera-tunity" & Musical Theater

Monday
Noon & 3:00pm
Kaleidoscope Stage

Festival was lucky to get a grant from the prestigious Virginia Commission for the Arts – so Dr. Mann could bring her award-winning programs: "Opera-tunity," and "Stellar Highlights from Musical Theater" to Festival. All ages will enjoy this unique entertainment at our Kaleidoscope Stage. She does a one woman opera program for kids and families, where she takes a handful of the “classics”, quickly changes into wardrobe for that particular opera, and does a mini-version of each including audience participation. It’s like a kind of a Cher for Opera.

Dr. Mann, will create a program that will suit our local audiences - light and extremely enjoyable. She’ll include familiar arias and some popular Broadway Show Tunes. Those that don’t know anything about Opera – will come away thrilled and wanting more. Two performances will be on Monday, May 31 on the Kaleidoscope stage. Check schedule for times.

A resident of the Washington, DC area, she has been soloist at The Kennedy Center Concert Hall, and is frequently featured on many embassy and museum recital series, singing repertoire in 8 languages. Warner Brothers has purchased several of her classical recorded songs for use in their film/media.
